ChorePup™ Privacy Policy

How ChorePup handles adult accounts, private family information, child profiles, linked devices, and subscription records.

This Privacy Policy explains how ChorePup handles adult account information, private family content, child profile information, linked kid-device activity, and subscription records.

ChorePup is designed for families. We collect only the information reasonably needed to provide the app, keep family information private, maintain security, and give parents and guardians control. We do not sell personal information, show advertising, or use behavioral advertising.

1. Who We Are

ChorePup is provided by Xenith Horizon Group LLC.

Privacy contact: Privacy Officer, Xenith Horizon Group LLC
Email: support@xenithhorizon.com
Public mailing address: 1275 Habersham St, Republic, MO 65738
Business telephone: 417-771-0417

You may also use the account and data-deletion options linked in the app and on the ChorePup website.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • The ChorePup mobile app;
  • ChorePup websites, legal pages, and support pages;
  • Account and data-deletion requests;
  • Adult accounts, private family groups, and child profiles;
  • Chores, routines, points, rewards, goals, approvals, notes, and history;
  • Child Mode and parent-authorized linked kid devices;
  • Free trials, subscriptions, premium access, and purchase restoration; and
  • Support, privacy, security, and legal communications.

3. Adults, Children, and Family Accounts

Adult ChorePup accounts are for people who are at least 18 years old. Children may use ChorePup only within a private family group set up and supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult.

Parents and guardians create child profiles, choose the profile information, decide which family members have access, and authorize linked kid devices. Children do not create independent adult accounts.

Before continuing with a grown-up account, ChorePup requires the adult to:

  • Confirm that they are at least 18 years old;
  • Confirm that they are a parent, legal guardian, or authorized grown-up for the family;
  • Agree to the Terms of Use; and
  • Acknowledge this Privacy Policy and the child-data practices summarized in the app.

ChorePup stores a versioned record of that acceptance. Parents can withdraw permission for a child to use ChorePup by unlinking a kid device, disabling a child profile, using available deletion controls, submitting a verified deletion request, or contacting us.

4. Information We Collect

The information collected depends on the features a family uses.

Adult account information

We may collect:

  • Email address and display name supplied by Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple;
  • Firebase Authentication user ID and linked sign-in providers;
  • Family role, such as Owner, Co-owner, or Parent;
  • Family IDs, memberships, and account access settings;
  • Legal-document versions, document integrity values, acceptance time, app version, build number, and adult confirmations;
  • Support, privacy, and deletion-request communications; and
  • Information reasonably needed to verify and complete an account request.

Family information

Adults may create:

  • Family name, Parent PIN, invitation, and device-link information;
  • Family roles, permissions, settings, and onboarding choices;
  • Chores, tasks, routines, rewards, goals, and point values;
  • Assignments, approval decisions, optional notes, and timestamps; and
  • Point balances, transaction history, and family-created organizational data.

Parent PINs are transformed before cloud storage. Families should still protect PINs, account credentials, and invitation codes.

Child profile and Child Mode information

Parents or guardians may create and manage:

  • Parent-assigned display names or nicknames;
  • Emoji or app-provided profile visuals;
  • Point balances, goals, and reward preferences;
  • Assigned chores, routines, rewards, and approval history; and
  • Child Mode activity, including completion, reward, and retry requests.

A child can directly submit an optional family-visible note with some requests. Children should never put a full name, address, school, location, password, medical detail, financial detail, or other private information in a note.

When a parent authorizes a linked kid device, ChorePup may process:

  • An anonymous Firebase Authentication identifier;
  • The linked family and approved child-profile identifiers;
  • Device manufacturer or model label, operating system, and app version;
  • Link status, creation and activity timestamps, and security information;
  • Internet Protocol address and basic network information processed by service providers; and
  • Chore, routine, reward, retry, and approval requests submitted from that device.

ChorePup does not require a child’s legal name, email address, phone number, precise location, school, medical information, financial information, photo, video, voice recording, biometric identifier, or government identifier.

Parents should use a nickname rather than a child’s full legal name and should not put sensitive information in free-text fields.

Technical and operational information

ChorePup and its service providers may process:

  • Firebase authentication and installation identifiers;
  • Internet Protocol address and basic network request information;
  • Device type, operating system, and app version;
  • Security, error, and operational diagnostic information;
  • Information needed to sync data and protect family separation; and
  • Dates and timestamps associated with app activity.

ChorePup does not currently use a third-party analytics SDK, advertising SDK, behavioral advertising, or cross-app advertising tracking.

Subscription and purchase information

Apple or Google processes payment information for store purchases. ChorePup does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.

ChorePup, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, and Firebase may process:

  • Product and package identifiers;
  • App-store transaction and subscription identifiers;
  • Purchase, trial, renewal, cancellation, billing issue, expiration, refund, and restore status;
  • Store source and subscription-management URL;
  • Entitlement status and assigned premium families; and
  • Records needed to prevent duplicate benefits, restore purchases, respond to support requests, and maintain subscription access.

5. Information We Do Not Collect or Use

ChorePup does not:

  • Sell personal information;
  • Share personal information for behavioral advertising;
  • Use third-party advertising or advertising SDKs;
  • Use third-party analytics SDKs;
  • Collect address-book contacts;
  • Collect or share precise physical location;
  • Provide public child profiles, public feeds, public chat, or communication with strangers;
  • Require child photos, videos, audio, biometrics, or government identifiers; or
  • Send marketing email or child-directed marketing notifications.

Families must not enter precise location, school, medical, financial, credential, government-identifier, or other unnecessary sensitive information in names, notes, chores, routines, rewards, or other free-text fields.

ChorePup does not currently send push notifications. Before introducing notifications, we will review the design, parental controls, token collection, consent requirements, and this policy.

6. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create, authenticate, and recover adult accounts;
  • Create and operate private family groups;
  • Provide Parent Mode, Child Mode, and linked kid-device features;
  • Track chores, routines, points, rewards, goals, approvals, and history;
  • Sync family information between authorized devices;
  • Apply roles, protect family separation, and secure the service;
  • Provide Free and premium feature boundaries;
  • Process trials, purchases, restores, subscriptions, and family assignments;
  • Prevent misuse and troubleshoot failures;
  • Respond to support, privacy, access, correction, and deletion requests;
  • Maintain legally required records; and
  • Enforce the Terms of Use and protect ChorePup and its users.

For users in the United Kingdom, processing may rely on performance of a contract with the adult account holder, legitimate interests in operating and securing the requested family service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where applicable law requires it. Children’s best interests are a primary consideration when designing child-accessible features.

7. Private Family Sharing

Family content is intended to remain within the private ChorePup family group. It may be visible to approved members of that family according to their role and permissions.

ChorePup does not make family content publicly searchable or publicly visible. Adults control child profiles, family membership, device links, administrative roles, approvals, routines, and rewards.

8. Service Providers and Disclosures

We use service providers needed to operate ChorePup, including:

  • Google Firebase for authentication, cloud storage, synchronization, hosting, security, and Cloud Functions;
  • Google Sign-In and Google Play for account access, app distribution, and Android purchases;
  • Sign in with Apple, the Apple App Store, and StoreKit for account access, app distribution, and Apple purchases;
  • RevenueCat for subscription catalog, purchase, entitlement, restore, and subscription-management services; and
  • Website and support providers used to publish legal pages and respond to requests.

These providers process information according to their agreements, privacy terms, and security obligations. RevenueCat receives an adult account identifier and subscription-related information; it does not need child names or family chore content to provide subscription services.

We do not disclose child information for targeted advertising or unrelated commercial purposes. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect users, investigate misuse, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, or protect the rights, safety, and integrity of ChorePup and others.

9. Children Under 13 and COPPA

ChorePup is a child-accessible family service. Although parents provide most profile information, Child Mode can transmit an optional note, request activity, and persistent identifiers from a linked kid device. We therefore describe these practices to parents and handle child-related information conservatively.

Before authorizing child use, the parent or guardian receives notice of:

  • The child and device information described in Section 4;
  • The family-operation, security, synchronization, and support purposes in Section 6;
  • The service providers in Section 8;
  • The fact that ChorePup has no advertising, behavioral tracking, public profiles, or stranger messaging; and
  • The parent’s review, correction, withdrawal, and deletion choices below.

A verified parent or guardian may:

  • Review the child information associated with their family;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete a note, unlink a device, or request deletion of child information;
  • Refuse further collection or use by ending the child’s access; and
  • Ask what categories of information have been disclosed and to whom.

Use in-app controls, the data-deletion form, or support@xenithhorizon.com. We may request information reasonably needed to verify the requester’s identity and authority.

ChorePup does not condition a child’s participation on providing more information than is reasonably necessary. Optional notes are not required to complete or request a chore or reward.

10. International Processing

Xenith Horizon Group LLC is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where service providers operate.

Where required, we rely on contractual and other lawful safeguards for international transfers. Privacy protections and government-access rules may differ between countries.

11. Security

ChorePup uses authentication, role-based permissions, family identifiers, security rules, encrypted network connections, and least-needed access to protect family information.

We maintain security and incident-response practices appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, the size and nature of the service, and applicable law. We assess providers that handle family information and seek appropriate confidentiality and security commitments.

No transmission or storage method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the specific purpose for which it was collected, to provide requested family features, maintain security, complete deletion, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We do not retain child information indefinitely merely because it might be useful later.

In general:

  • Active account, family, and child-profile information remains while needed to provide the family service;
  • Notes, chores, rewards, and related history remain until removed through available controls, the associated account or family is deleted, or a verified request is completed, subject to limited lawful retention;
  • Device-link records remain while a link is active and may be retained for a limited security and troubleshooting period after unlinking;
  • Subscription and transaction records remain while needed for access, restoration, billing support, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal duties;
  • Legal-acceptance records may remain as evidence of the agreement in effect;
  • Failed deletion-operation records may remain until deletion completes;
  • Residual encrypted backups may remain temporarily until ordinary provider rotation removes them and are not used for ordinary product activity; and
  • Information no longer needed is deleted, deidentified, or securely disposed of according to the applicable system and legal requirement.

A public, written internal retention and deletion schedule must be approved before production release and reviewed when ChorePup adds a new data category.

13. Parent and Family Privacy Rights

A verified parent, guardian, or authorized account holder may ask to:

  • Review child and family information associated with their account;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete a child profile or applicable child information;
  • Withdraw permission for further child use or collection;
  • Unlink a kid device;
  • Delete an adult account or an entire family when authorized; or
  • Ask how information has been used or disclosed.

Use the in-app controls, the web deletion form, or email support@xenithhorizon.com. We may verify identity and authority before acting.

Disabling a profile may hide it without immediately erasing every related ledger or audit record. For an erasure request, use the deletion form or contact support so ChorePup can review active data, family history, security, billing, and legally required retention.

Deleting a ChorePup account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Store subscriptions must also be canceled through the applicable store.

14. United Kingdom and Canadian Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing; request portability; withdraw consent; or complain to a privacy regulator. These rights may be subject to legal limitations.

Children should be able to understand and exercise privacy rights with age-appropriate help. A child may ask a grown-up to submit a request, and ChorePup plans to provide a child-accessible, non-destructive profile-deletion request within Kid Mode. Until that workflow is released, a child or parent may use the support and deletion routes described above.

United Kingdom users may contact the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.

Canadian users may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at https://www.priv.gc.ca/en/report-a-concern/.

Contact us first at support@xenithhorizon.com so we can try to address the request directly.

15. Privacy for Kids

ChorePup provides a short, child-friendly explanation in the app. It explains:

  • A grown-up sets up ChorePup;
  • ChorePup saves chores, points, rewards, requests, and optional notes for the family;
  • Approved family members can see family information;
  • ChorePup does not show ads or let strangers contact children; and
  • A child can ask to see, change, or delete information about their profile.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will change the version and effective date when we do.

When an update requires renewed agreement or materially affects family or child information, ChorePup may require an adult account holder to review and accept the updated Terms and acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy before continuing online.
